  • Wet-pipe – pressurised water sprinklers that can be immediately discharged to quell a fire.
  • Dry-pipe – air-filled pipes that only fill with water when the alarm is raised in order to prevent leakage, but that can still address a fire within one minute.
  • Pre-action – a system with valves that ensure sprinklers only open in areas where action is needed, also helping to prevent accidental discharge.
  • Foam water – foam-based mix for sprinklers that is recommended for putting out solvent fires caused by substances like gas and alcohol.
